Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS), Space and Launch Division, is seeking a Lead Software Configuration Management DevSecOps System Engineer (Level 4) to support the team in Colorado Springs, CO.

Our team focus on the development of new global military satellite communications (MILSATCOM) ground system that will manage transmission of protected tactical waveform (a type of secure, anti-jam communication) over Boeing-built Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellites and terminals.

In addition, the Space and Launch Team creates the next generation products and services for the BDS business unit.

We work with proprietary customers in the development of the next-generation technologies in space.

Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.Position Overview:The Lead Software Configuration Management DevSecOps System Engineer will be a part of a high-performing team that are immersed in high intensity development projects.

As a member of the WGS team, you will be involved in the entire software development life cycle, from idea creation and development, all the way through to maintenance and support of the customers delivered system.

This position will place you in roles where you have the opportunity to make an impact on the results of our project.

The WGS team offers a collaborative mentoring environment where you have the opportunity to learn from or lead others.

Position Responsibilities:Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

Supports development and maintenance of Jenkins Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.Supports development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system.Supports development of software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.Supports development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics.

Plans, executes and documents software research and development projects.Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.

Work Authorization:This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

(An interim and/or final U.S.

Secret Clearance Post-Start is required).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry3 years or more of experience implementing/maintaining a CI/CD tool chain.3 years or more of experience in DevOps.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Active U.S.

Secret Security Clearance (A U.S.

Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).Experience designing and implementing a full stack/micro-service CI/CD infrastructure.Experience developing in Java.Experience with Linux system administration.Working knowledge of the CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools.Experience using tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Artifactory, ELK, SonarQube, Jira, Prometheus, Fluentd, Helm, DataGrid, JBoss, Cloud Suite, OpenShift, Docker, Ansible, etc.3 years or more of experience managing a GIT repository.

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.

Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.

PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:This position does not offer relocation.

Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
