This exciting systems engineer position will work on emerging programs developing the next-generation technologies in space.
The ideal candidate is passionate about space and excited to work in a multi-disciplined, collaborative engineering environment to design, develop and implement control and communications software for Boeing satellites.
Position Responsibilities:Develop and maintain requirements for innovative new projectsDevelop use cases and sequence diagramsDevelop and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for complex space and ground architecturesAnalyze, verify, and validate performance of hardware and software components in a space systemSupport planning for and execution of subsystem and vehicle-level integration and test campaignWork closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment to develop system architecture in compliance with interface definitions and system/subsystem requirementsSupport stakeholder needs through analysis, technical performance measures (TPM) definition, requirements analysis, and allocation & definition for subcontractors, utilizing Cameo, JIRA and ConfluenceDevelop requirements verification plan, including coordination of required tests for space systems This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires an active U.S.
Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S.
Citizenship Required).
(A U.S.
Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical course of study5+ years of Systems Engineering on aerospace platforms or similar highly regulated productsExperience with requirements development, verification, validation, ICDs, risk, issues and opportunities management and trade studies Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Active U.S.
TS/SCI Security Clearance (A U.S.
Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).Experience with SAFeExperience with spacecraft and/or space systems architectureExperience in development, build and test of spacecraftExperience utilizing Model Based Engineering (MBE or MBSE) toolsTechnical education or experience in space vehicle engineering disciplinesExperience working across multiple disciplines in a rapid development environment Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.
Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.
PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
