Louis, MO.
This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) businessorganization.
Phantom Works is an advanced research and development organization responsible for engaging customers through cutting-edge visual modeling and simulation; innovating cross-cutting concepts and technologies; prototyping solutions to extend current products and win new programs; and developing new businesses and entering new markets.
The organization is seeking software engineers to lead software design and development for autonomous systems.
Software support is needed in the areas of autonomous product development and simulations to support autonomous product development.
As a Software Engineer you will work with a team in a casual but professional environment where there is long-term potential for career growth into management or technical leadership positions.
The optimal candidate works well with a team, has great communication skills, and is a self-starter.
Partnering with both internal and external organizations, the AAS team provides the technical leadership to develop key enabling technologies, grow our Artificial Intelligence portfolio, and execute live demonstrations in support of critical future defense franchises in Autonomy, Air Vehicle Operations, Surveillance, Aerial Refueling, Collaborative Teaming and other vital missions.
Position Responsibilities:Design and develop autonomous systems using real-time software architectures and designsLead junior engineers in software developmentPerform in use case development for software requirementsPerform software architecture trade studies and modifications to meet new requirementsDevelop interface definitionsPerform unit and integration testingParticipate in peer reviewsSupport system and flight testingCreation of software documentationThis position allows telecommuting.
The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in Saint Louis, MO.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a Top Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
