In this position, you will be responsible for key capabilities such as weapons integration, sensor integration, data fusion, tactical data links, Operator Machine Interface (OMI), as well as the software execution environment for the platform, Simulation and Trainer support software.
Youll be an integral part of supporting the Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) P-8 Poseidon program, which is the premier Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) platform for the US Navy and several international partners.
We are expecting contract award very soon which will enable team expansion and growth!
This franchise program is anticipated to continue to be a stable program for the foreseeable future.Position Responsibilities:Designs and develops Mission Systems, Simulation or Trainer Support softwareParticipates in use case development for software requirementsDevelops and conducts unit and integration testsParticipates in peer reviewsSupports root cause analysis and correction for delivered productsSupports system test, aircraft delivery, and ground and flight-based test events This position allows telecommuting.
The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S.
Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.S.
secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Java (preferred), C++ or C programming language experienceDevelopment experience in Linux or Windows environmentsBachelors degree and 2 or more years’ experience or Masters degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
(ABET preferred) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Specific scripting languages: XML, Pearl, PythonAgile software development processesUse case developmentProtocols: Networking, Serial, Device I/O, Wireless CommunicationDevelopment of Training software and User Interface designSolving H/W and S/W issues in a sophisticated environmentLinux OS Support Experience (RHEL)Installation and configuration of Linux OSStartup and basic configuration of Virtual Machine and Virtual Network environmentsSupporting as-run test reports and other contractual workExposure to Object Oriented Design Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.
Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.
Master).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
