Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate-Level Simulation Lab Software Engineer Flight Simulation Labs to join the Flight Simulations | Labs F-15 team located in Berkeley, MO.
This position will develop simulation and laboratory products for multiple projects in our Flight Simulation Laboratory.
Flight Simulation Laboratory provides a comprehensive simulation and laboratory solution for the design, development, and deployment of Boeing St.
Louis defense products.
This engineer will be capable of contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle (requirements, architecture, implementation, and verification).
The individual will participate in development of F-15 avionics software models to be utilized in both development and operational testing of aircraft software for our USAF and international customers.
Our team supports development of both test environments (early SW support) thru the flight simulation pilot testing (mature SW) by supporting the needs of all development and pilot teams.
Position Responsibilities:Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systemsDevelops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software systemAssists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are metSupports software project management and software supplier management functionsSelects, tailors and deploys processes and tools; establishes metricsPerforms software research and trade studiesTroubleshoots software issuesWorks under general supervision This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
Ability to obtain Secret US Security clearance (Post-Start).
Required Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):Ability to obtain a SECRET or higher US Security clearance (Post-Start)1-3 years of experience with Real-Time Software developmentBachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Aerospace, Software, Electrical, Computing, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or similar) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Ability to obtain a program clearance is preferredPrevious Software development for simulations or simulation environments Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.
Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.
Master)In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard Travel: Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%.
Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
