We are seeking a full-time Cyber Security A viation Systems Engineer 1 for our headquarters in the greater Kansas City area.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting successful conception, development, and/or application of sophisticated avionics systems.
Essential Functions
– Work with internal engineering teams and OEM partners to plan, design and develop security architectures to meet certification and business requirements
– Perform security assessments of proposed and existing avionics systems using applicable industry guidance and methods
– Generate and maintain security standards, processes, and requirements across the aviation segment for embedded products and digital services
– Develop threat models based on data flows to identify threat scenarios and determine risk acceptability
– Actively monitor and evaluate the global cyber security landscape, ensuring Garmin’s products and services are protected
– Support incident response efforts, including investigation, remediation, and communication
– Coordinate security initiatives with Enterprise IT and other business segments to establish a robust security posture
