The role is involved with generating packaging, handling, Storage and transportation requirements for solid rocket motors.
The position requires a limited use and/or application of basic engineering principles, theories and concepts.
Responsibilities include general and specialized assignments that provide training and work experience of a developmental nature.This position may be filled at this level posted or one level higher.
Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each): Under close supervision and following specific detailed instructions, after orientation and training the associate performs entry-level engineering assignments:30%
– Support packaging and ground support equipment designs.
Coordinate with customers, operations and designers to develop special shipping containers and ground support equipment (GSE).
Track requirements through design, fabrication, test and operational use.30%
– Develop motor handling and support processes and procedures.
Track requirements and incorporate them into transportation, handling and storage requirements.
Develop product support documentation and procedures for both Aerojet Rocketdyne and customers.20%
– Support hazard classification processes and testing.
Hazard classification is for solid rocket motors and associated propellants.20%
– Analysis and document maintainability concepts for Aerojet Rocketdyne designed hardware and GSE.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).Demonstrated team work experience and solid communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.Being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 is a condition of employment at Aerojet Rocketdyne.
