Job Background:
The business has significant regulatory and process targets for 2020 and beyond, which cannot be accommodated by the existing platforms and manual processes. In order to handle future growth, we are embarking on wide-ranging technologies to eliminate manual work – including future state build. The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with internal and external teams. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis, automation of reporting and programming activities.
Responsibilities:

Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas
- Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users
- Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement
- Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality
- Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems
- Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
- Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
- Enthusiastic to adapt new technologies
- Deliver high quality technical solutions for automations and reporting to multiple global users in a fast paced environment with ability to demonstrate to all management levels
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to design and develop innovative solutions
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years of working experience in JAVA, Spring/Spring Boot/Spring Batch, Restful Services
- 3-5 years of strong experience in SQL (Oracle, SQL Server). PL/SQL programming expertise is preferred
- Strong Experience in J2EE (4-5 years)
- Strong 3-4 years of SAS working knowledge
- 3-4 years of ETL Experience (AbInitio) is mandatory
- 3+ years of Strong experience with reporting tools such as Tableau, Cognos.
- 3 years of Experience with Maven, Hudson, HP ALM, Sonar, JUnit and other similar technologies.
- Bit Bucket / Eclipse IDE (3-4 years) Angular / HTML / Rest API
- Experience with Web/Application Servers and Web Services (including SOAP, XML, XML Schema concepts and frameworks).
- Should be able to use source control systems and code deployments
- Unix/Linux scripting skills (Korn shell or Python) will be a plus.
- Knowledge of Autosys is preferred.
- Committed to Unit testing, good design approach and work with a team or independently.
- 3-5 years of strong Technical Background and Analytical Skills Professional maturity in dealing with all levels of Management and Staff
- Good understanding of data governance (encryption), data cleansing, data enrichment, compliance and risk management is preferred.
- Excellent time management and ability to multi-task/balance parallel work streams
- Good communications skills.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field.
