Application Developer

JOB SUMMARY The incumbent will build moderately complex products and features that directly impact the consumer experience. The role will create innovative solutions by developing and implementing applications. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the consumer experience Provides leadership and strong technical guidance for internal and external groups. Collaborate with other team members located in various locations, inside and outside the United States, to support the daily operations of a 24×7 work environment. Supports custom Java application environments and assists development teams. Leverages, develops, and or enhances CI/CD pipeline solutions. Maintain various system health monitoring and reporting tools. Write and maintain scripts for system maintenance and administration. Create reports, dashboards, and processes to monitor and analyze availability and performance metrics. Work with architects, technologists, and others for future system enhancements and scalability. Actively participate in decisions to develop and improve security-based standards and practices. Perform disaster recovery tasks on a predefined schedule. Perform advanced troubleshooting techniques in a high pressure environment. Provide after-hours support on an “as needed” or “on call” basis. Document systems and procedures. Train others in the use of tools, functions, and techniques. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Intermediate foundation in data structures, algorithms, and OO Design Intermediate understanding of Objective-C, iOS SDKs, XCode, and related development technologies Intermediate understanding of best practices in mobile UX design Knowledge of Agile development methodologies Ability to deliver against several initiatives simultaneously Ability to prioritize and organize effectively Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE 3-4 years of Android/iOS application development experience 3-4 years of Software development experience 1-2 years of Web services development experience using REST, JSON, XML 1-2 years of Version control systems experience (Git and Atlassian suite) WORKING CONDITIONS Office environment ISW308 301849 301849BR
