Android Developer

Overview PK is looking for an Android Developer in the Denver Tech Center.

Responsibilities Lead a team of 3
– 5 Android developers in delivering stable and high performing applications Apply mobile application expertise on the Android platform to improve the customer experience Work with customers, designers and UX experts to design and develop solutions to challenging problems Provide leadership to development teams and mentor junior developers by setting up standards and best practices for the entire project Work with QA and DevOps teams to come up with best possible ways to deliver quality products and Apps with a quick turnaround time Take calculated risks, learn from success or failure, and apply that to the next problem in the pipeline Coordinate between multiple cross-functional teams (Design, Backend and Front-end) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering or related field 5 or more years’ experience in Mobile Application Development using Java based Android (Native) Knowledge of the Android build process (should be able to work on library-based Projects Android Studio) Experience with UI development Android Components Database, Service, Content Providers, Consuming REST Web Services, JSONXML parsing, OOAD, Design patterns, n-tier Architecture, Multi-Threading Knowledge of Java and Gradle Script Experience in developing best practices, software principles and code design concepts Experience in developing and supporting rapid iterations of software in an Agile context Solid knowledge of common design patterns, frameworks and libraries for mobile development Experience in continuous integration and unit testing frameworks Ability to effectively work with internal teams, understand requirements and set expectations Strong understanding of REST based services and service-based architecture Commitment to producing top quality, well designed and flexible mobile applications A passion for code quality and craftsmanship Experience developing mobile applications in a retail or customer loyalty space preferred In order to provide equal employment and advancement opportunities to all individuals, employment decisions at PK are based exclusively on merit.
