Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Head of Business Development to develop LATAM market, based in Sunnyvale, CA.

This position will play a leadership role to build a local sales team, recruit customers and partners, and implement digital transformation solutions in LATAM market.

This role also needs to carry out various sales responsibilities to achieve GAAP revenue target and lead the LATAM team hit overall revenue target.

Working for a substantially fast growing global public cloud and digital transformation provider like Alibaba, one will have good potential to grow the career with the company through this exciting journey.

Key responsibilities include but limited to:

• Develop overall strategy in LATAM market to leverage Alibaba brand name, digital transformation solutions, and synergy with other Alibaba Group BUs.

• Sell cloud infrastructure service and digital transformation solution to enterprises customer in LATAM and improve the brand awareness of Alibaba Cloud.

• Build trusting relationship with local business communities and recruit business partners including reseller, MSP, and integrated solution partners.

• Develop a local sales team to support fast growth and implement Alibaba working culture.

• Work with HQ back office functional lines to collaborate and contribute to overall products, solution and operation enhancements

Job requirements

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, presentation, public speaking and written communications

• At least 8 year of sales experience in related field targeting enterprises’ and SMEs’ IT and technology sectors in LATAM market, with trackable sales records

• Strong LATAM market business communities engagement experiences is a plus

• Experience with partnership, alliance program and channel platform build in IT and technology sectors is preferred

• Comfortable working in a global company with culture diversity and fast pace growth

• Ability to direct collaborative efforts of resources within a large organization, including internal resources, external resources and other constituent groups

• Ability to manage change, resolve conflicts and ensure collaboration within teams and/or units; includes maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity

• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Comfortable in working in a truly global environment, across different time zones

• Expect 50% and above business travel

• Spanish and Mandarin language skills are a plus
