Affordit® gets the customer pre-approved for their financed purchase without the time-consuming underwriting process and connects the antiquated mortgage and consumer loan origination platforms together to find solutions to get customers pre-approved that otherwise would be denied and identifies upsell opportunities for financial institutions.Summary of Position Affordit® is looking for a Software Engineer to join our stellar team of developers and help us to achieve our next level of growth!

The Software Engineer will be responsible for helping shape the technical direction of the Affordit® platform through the design and development of new products and features.

We’re looking for someone experienced developing in .NET web applications and collaborating with teammates to help define best-practice approaches.

The ideal candidate is eager to contribute and share their experience and enthusiasm for technology.

This position is based in Tampa, FL with partial remote work flexibility.Essential Job Functions
· Works collaboratively within an Agile development team and is an active participant in all dev team SCRUM ceremonies.
· Contributes to the technical design and direction of cutting-edge features and enhancements
· Develops enhancements to the Affordit® web application using .NET Core (C#), Entity Framework, and Angular.
· Develops APIs for new customers and third-party integrations.
· Identifies and remediates defects as reported by the business, our customers, or through self-identification.
· Regularly performs peer code reviews and constructively suggests improvements where necessary
· Continuously contributes to product and technical documentation in Confluence to reflect new product specifications and changes stemming from enhancements and bug fixes.
· Develops code and unit tests in accordance with Affordit® coding standards and practices
· Deploys releases using build tools on a shared rotation.
· Provides mentorship on development approaches and practices to junior-level developers on the team.
· Has a basic understanding of how credit scores work and how they impact the lending process
· Occasionally interacts with the Customer Success team, providing feedback on application functionality and enhancements.
· Is willing and eager to learn new technologies and recommend tools and/or processes which could help advance the team.
· Communicates areas of concern and can provide potential solutions.
