JOB TITLE: Advanced Software Verification Engineer
– Network Switch
ABOUT THE JOB:
Be part of a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex software functions.
You will be instrumental in helping the team develop Switch Software supporting a Next Generation Avionics network.
This position is responsible for implementing the software verification infrastructure including providing sample test cases and test procedures utilizing the toolset defined in the Plan for Software Aspects of Certification (PSAC).
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- 7+ years Aerospace Engineering experience
- Experience with DO-178B/C software development life cycle
- Understanding of DO-178C DAL A compliant Software Verification and Validation Strategy and Methods
- Software Test experience
- Software Test Procedure Development experience; specifically in C, Python, and Assembly
- Software Code Coverage Analysis experience
- Knowledge of Software Configuration Management practices
- Knowledge of Software Change Management practices
- Software Integration experience
- Tools experience includes:
- VectorCAST C/C++
- Lauterbach debugger (or equivalent)
- Synopsis Coverity (or equivalent)
- Git/Bitbucket (or equivalent)
- JIRA (or equivalent)
- Effective Communication Skills (both verbal and written)
- Self-motivated, Accountable, Detail-oriented
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Software Architecture Development experience
- Software Application Definition experience
- Software Requirements and Design decision making experience for Network Switch products
- Software Coding experience
- Software Verification and Validation Infrastructure Development experience
- Software Certification experience
- Experience with A664 / AFDX networking
- Hardware Device Driver development experience
- Experience with Arm-based Microcontrollers; specifically TI Hercules
- Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events
