GA Telesis is looking to hire a dynamic proven Human Resources Leader who has experience leading a global team, building successful relationships throughout the organization and serving as a strategic business partner.
The position is responsible for ensuring the company’s employee value proposition remains competitive to attract, retain and motivate employees to do their best work.
The position reports to the President and Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the leadership team.
Responsibilities
• Partner with senior management to developed talent plans in support of the company’s growth initiative, including succession planning and talent acquisition strategies to retain and attract top talent
• Oversees all strategic and operational functions of the HR team employee engagement, training & development, performance management, talent acquisition and development, HR systems, onboarding, payroll changes, benefits administration
• Develops and leads a proactive and professional human resources staff that provides exceptional business partnership to all levels of the organization
• Works with management team to develop and promote a positive company culture and creates programs that support diversity and inclusion
• Fosters cross-functional relationships and ensures managers and employees are properly connected through coaching, communication, and collaboration with department heads
• Collaborate with management team to create recognition programs to provide the opportunity for employees to advance their careers and develop new skills
• Develops human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge, and talent gaps, and implements specific programs for filling the gaps
• Determines reportable benchmarks, metrics, and KPI dashboards to inform the management team of the strengths, capabilities, and gaps of the organization
• Establishes standardized processes for employee transactions such as terminations, transfers, pay changes, merit increases, discretionary increases, and other compensation-related expenditures
• Creates standardization in talent acquisition processes across operational units, enforcing accountability to expedite the selection of world class talent
• Provides a strategic vision for a total rewards program which attracts, develops, and retains top performers.
This includes creating an appropriate total rewards philosophy, aligning compensation practices, health & wellness, retirement, and voluntary benefits
• Manages the onboarding process, ensuring the process is up to date and of high quality, providing clarity and connection for all employees and their roles, and continuous improvement to meet organization needs
• Oversees and participates in responding to unemployment claims, if needed, employment verification requests and similar inquiries
• Provides guidance to employees and supervisors and seeks to resolve grievances and complaints

• Ability to deal in a high-pressure environment (occasionally crisis situations) and render good decisions to resolve the problems
• Knowledge of high-level M&A processes and HR integration
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations and best practices in employment law, human resources subject matter, and talent management
• Experience in leading large-scale business program development and implementation
• Ability to build consensus and resolve conflict; exhibits willingness to have difficult conversations
• Ability to re-envision, build, and manage a team, especially in a time of growth and change; excellent at identifying talent and taking advantage of each person’s unique skills and contributions to team effort
• Exceptional communication ability, both written and oral
• Ability to listen and accept feedback constructively
Education and Experience
• 8+ years’ proven experience in a HR Leadership role
• Experience managing a team of HR professionals
• Global HR experience
• Aviation industry experience is a plus, but not required
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, graduate degree highly preferred
