is looking forward to adding a new Human Resources Generalist to our excellent HR team.
Duties/Responsibilities: * Sources, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open hourly positions; coordinates new hire orientation.
* Collaborates with management to understand future staffing; keeps management informed of current recruiting activities.
* Works to understand turnover and to implement retention strategies.
* Performs tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including, but not limited to, team member communications; benefits and leave requests; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
* Handles inquiries from applicants, team members, supervisors, and managers.
* Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
* Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Required Skills/Abilities: * Bachelor’s degree and a very steady work history.
* Professional experience in HR, preferred.
* Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions.
* Willingness to walk several miles per day, indoors and outdoors, in order to conduct business at all three of our plants.
* Willingness to conduct team member interactions on the plant floor.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
* Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
