This is a Contract position in Watertown, CT posted October 22, 2021.

We educate more than 9,800 students in grades pre-K through eighth in the greater Los Angeles area and San Diego.

Additionally, we support approximately 5,100 alumni on their journey to and through high school and college.

You also love helping people, and value being able to guide families through the enrollment process.What You’ll DoRespond to inquiries about enrollment from both current and prospective families to KIPP SoCal.

As the owner of our enrollment hotline, you’ll be expected to support families with:Applying to our schools over the phone using our application software, SchoolMint.Learning more about our schools and what their options are to enroll their child.Sharing what makes KIPP Schools uniqueConnecting families with the relevant schools when needed.

Create and maintain a database of prospective/ potential students.

Update our client relationship manager with new families and/or updates on their interests as needed.Call prospective families to remind them when to enroll and share new opportunities for their child.

Support them apply over the phone if needed using our application software, SchoolMint.Support with the translation of materials from English to Spanish, namely communications to families and other marketing materials as neededWeekly meetings to update your manager on pending projects.Visiting preschools, daycares, sports games, and other youth service organizations in the area in order to distribute our marketing materials and speak to groups / individual students and family members to promote KIPP.Use a deep knowledge of the community and key areas to identify potential marketing opportunities to increase awareness of the school in target communities and work with school teams to execute student recruitment eventsServe as an ambassador for KIPP by engaging with families and community members at community events and via community canvassing activitiesYou’ll Be Qualified If You HaveAt least a high school diplomaBilingual (Spanish and English) requiredBe able to commit to 40 hours per weekFamiliar with KIPP SoCal Public Schools; highly preferred candidates will be families of KIPP students or KIPP alumniKnowledgeable about the Los Angeles area; highly preferred candidates will already have strong networks and relationships within the area.Able to walk/stand for long periods of time (2-3 hrs/day)Reliable transportation required; Valid CA drivers licenseStrong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; enjoys building relationshipsThe PerksThe position will start at an hourly rate of $16 and is guaranteed through March of 2022, but there could be an opportunity to continue longer if successful in the role.
