What you’ll be doing…
Join the GTS Transformation team supporting the Global IT organization to drive efficiencies, speed and innovation. The senior manager role will support various Transformation programs and manage the Global Resource Management organization which requires working collaboratively across the enterprise. This new team will be responsible for governing third party labor in conjunction with Verizon’s full time IT workforce to improve efficiency, transparency, and accountability in resourcing. Additionally, lead change and influence decision-making at all levels, including senior leadership. Lastly, support implementation of new operational processes, improve decision making through transparency and performance management systems and drive culture change.
Provide guidance and direction on staffing guidelines (e.g. Domestic US / Offshore mix; Employee / contractor mix) and provide transparency to the process, adherence to guidelines and key decisions.
Build effective relationships with IT portfolio organizations to influence strategies, understand resource needs and enable delivery.
Improve transparency and accountability through key Dashboards and key KPIs around delivery, financial, process and enablement.
Provide governance to ensure accountability, consistency, and best practices.
Partner across the enterprise including Finance, Sourcing, Legal and Security to improve speed to market, drive efficiencies and overall process improvement.
Present analysis and recommendation to senior leadership, including communicating data driven and conceptual information effectively.
Support enterprise wide transformation projects that provide proactive and innovative solutions to address business challenges, deliver savings and achieve organizational goals.
Ensure effective stakeholder engagement and communication.
What we’re looking for…
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in managing Resource Management operations, including workforce planning, resource deployment, resource utilization, talent planning/up-skilling to match program delivery demands.
Experience with program/project management methodology, process design, issues and risk management, with track record of achieving results and meeting deadlines.
Working knowledge of contracts and strong financial acumen.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to build strong teams focused on results.
Master’s degree.
Strong relationship management skills, including experience leading cross-functional team discussions and driving alignment.
Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills; additionally, ability to influence key decision makers.
Strong decision-making and problem solving skills.
Outstanding organizational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities.
Ability to embrace change a work in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
Knowledge of general business processes and organizational framework, such as strategy, goals and culture.
