DEPUTY SHERIFFThe Scott County Civil Service Commission announces an open and competitive Civil Service examination for the purpose of establishing a roster for the position of .Minimum standards for consideration * Applicants must be 21 years of age* United States citizen* High School Diploma or G.E.D.* Valid Driver’s License* Must be able to meet all requirements as established by the ILEAApplications must be received by 4:30 p.M., Monday, February 22, 2021.
Applicants must complete a physical agility test and a written examination, administered by the Civil Service Commission on Saturday, March 13, 2021, or Sunday, March 21, 2021.
Applicants must indicate a preference regarding which date to test when completing their application.
Date preference is subject to availability and applicants will be notified after February 23rd as to which date they’ve been scheduled for.
Check-in for the physical agility test is at 8:00 am at a location to be announced.
The written examination will be administered after the physical agility test beginning at 12 pm at the Scott County Sheriff’s Department, Scott County Courthouse, 400 W.
4th Street, Davenport, IA.
Candidates must pass a detailed background investigation with no domestic assault or felony convictions.
Successful candidates will be required to pass a post-offer physical exam including a drug screen, a psychological exam and will be subject to a polygraph examination.Starting salary: $55,806 plus a generous benefit package.
