Responsibilities

This position is for Pactiv Evergreen Inc.

 

Job Summary:

The HR Manager will serve as a business partner to Logistics Function. The incumbent will act as a trusted advisor and coach to help fulfill the business objectives through human capital and people leadership and ultimately be responsible for implementing and supporting Pactiv’s HR programs, processes and initiatives.

 

East:  Supporting Logistics Warehouse in NY, GA, NC  (Atlanta location preferred)

 

 

Job Duties:

  • Serve as the primary HR partner to the business, developing HR strategies, needs assessments and resulting HR solutions.
  • Responsible for ensuring the effective “delivery” of all HR programs and services. Responsible for HR results in the business, including client satisfaction, HR effectiveness and associated financial results.  HR programs & processes include but are not limited to:
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Talent Management & Development
  • Compensation
  • Performance Management
  • Organization & Workforce Planning
  • Change Management – serve as the change agent to the functional business unit
  • Internal Communications & Engagement
  • Establishes, builds and maintains strong relationships with key HR partners from the Pactiv HR Center of Excellence to ensure elements of HR are successfully coordinated to meet business needs; includes relationship management, leadership, HR roles/responsibilities, and service delivery commitments
  • Develop proposals and recommendations to resolve strategically important issues affecting a major business segment.
  • Act as an HR advisor to employees and managers, providing coaching, counseling, and support as needed. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day to day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Proficient in anticipating business needs and taking the initiative to drive solutions in effective, value-added ways
  • Create and implement retention strategies to minimize unwanted attrition, particularly in business unit critical roles and specialty skill sets
  • Frequently engages with employees to build a positive and transparent environment
  • Responsible for employee relations, day-to-day matters, and investigations
  • Gather and use data to drive business decisions and initiatives

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree preferred in Human Resources or related area.
  • 5-7 years’ experience as HR Generalist.
  • Industry/manufacturing and or corporate knowledge preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable state, federal, local employment/labor laws and regulations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels within org.
  • Ability to HR data and metrics to drive business results
  • Proven success working cross-functionally with an emphasis in coaching and performance management
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills required
  • Project management & change management skills strongly preferred
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to travel 25%
