Recruitment Manager

Veolia North America

This is a Full-time position in Boston, MA posted November 11, 2021.

Position Purpose:

The Recruitment Manager is responsible for establishing and executing Veolia’s North America’s recruitment strategy within a Line of Business. The recruitment strategy will ensure position vacancies are filled within established guidelines, new employees are on-boarded with consistency and policies/procedures are created within the job function to create harmonized efforts in the areas of interviewing, pre-employment testing, initiating job requisitions and recruitment efforts. The Recruitment Manager will also be responsible for directing and managing a team of recruiters.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Implement and initiate a harmonized HR strategy for the recruitment function.  This may include, but is not limited to, sourcing candidates, onboarding and off-boarding activities, records retention, and assisting with succession planning for internal candidates. 
  2. Lead and direct the recruitment process to ensure candidates are sourced, screened and interviewed within established guidelines.
  3. Supervising the recruiting team and reporting on its performance
  4. The Manager of Recruitment will provide regional recruiting expertise by staying abreast of industry and technology trends, best practices, legal developments, and build strong relationships with regional trade schools, colleges, organizations, community events and other high potential candidate sources.
  5. The Manager of Recruitment will maintain collaborative relationships with corporate talent acquisition, training, and onboarding centers of excellence.
  6. Develop sourcing & recruiting goals and strategies for their region and hold all members of the leadership team accountable for their respective roles in recruiting and selection
  7. Manages the timely coordination and execution of all onboarding requirements, between training, hiring managers, and new hires.
  8. Collaborate closely with regional HR and operations teams in delivering specific recruiting campaigns and report on progress on a regular basis;
  9. Accountable for reporting the metric results of all staffing objectives within the company by reducing time to fill and cost per hire and increasing quality of hire;
  10. Support HR business partners and hiring managers with employee related requirements in line with the function or business strategy.
  11. Participate in job fairs and career events

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or other applicable field.
  • 5-7 years of corporate recruiting experience.
  • At least 3 years managing a team.

  • Excellent understanding of recruitment processes
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Good Knowledge of candidates selection methods
  • Critical thinker and problem solving skills
  • Great Time Management skills
  • Effective communication skills; Presentation/Public speaking skills
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, reporting and metric.

                   
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE USED:

Usual office equipment including computer, phone, copier and calculator.

Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Platform

Company information systems applications such as TRUX, Stromberg, etc.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Usual Office Environment

Adequate lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Normal close range vision is required for reading.  

Manual dexterity is required to handle paper flow and computer keyboard operation. 

Mobility and hearing is needed to gather information and confer with others.  

Health must permit regular attendance and extended hours to meet deadlines.
