This is a Full-time position in Somerville, MA posted September 17, 2021.
Lincoln Tech’s Somerville, MA campus is seeking a Career Services Advisor to focus on the placement of our students. You will be establishing partnerships with employers to uncover job opportunities. You will also be engaging students in activities that prepare them for their job search and employment interviews.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an active lead database to ensure sufficient job opportunities for students and graduates
- Assisting with externship program
- Contact new companies to develop a relationship as a potential employer and/or internship site
- Initiate regular and consistent outreach to employers to uncover new employment opportunities
- Coordinate and schedule employer interviews with students and graduates
- Make follow-up calls to graduates and employers regarding interview outcomes and employment confirmation
- Maintain consistent contact with graduates until employment is successfully secured within their field of study
- Provide in-person and virtual workshops on resume preparation and career search strategies
- Report to the Director of Career Services
Job Requirements:
Skills & Experience
- High school degree or GED
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Proficient in using virtual platforms
- Experience using social media platforms
- Able to work at least one night per week
Preferred
- Experience with CampusVue
- Sales or previous staffing/recruitment/career services experience
- Familiarity with online job searches and tools
