ROLE OVERVIEW
The Recruiter is responsible for maintaining company database of potential recruits, communication with the project managers and clients regarding man-power needs, conducting initial screening efforts, communicating with project managers regarding man-power availability, working with HSE and HR to coordinate pre-employment screenings, initial training and orientation and coordinating the mobilization process with project managers and clients.
This is a full-time position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for posting available positions.
Responsible for guiding the hiring process in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Ascertains human resource requirements from clients, ensuring the timely advertisement and filling of vacancies.
Participates in the selection of internal/external candidates and submits appropriate recommendations.
Interviews and assesses or qualifies potential candidates, verifying educational qualifications and previous employment records; Manages the advertisement and filling of vacancies, advising applicants on the nature of the responsibilities to be performed.
Communicates with new employees during on-boarding on related administrative formalities and ensures all arrangements are made for onward travel, if applicable; Oversees the prompt and efficient processing of documentation for the arrival and departure of craft/ staff.
Participates in the preparation of submissions for review by company Project Manager and client contact for the filling of vacant positions.
Represents the office individually or as part of a team in meetings concerning recruiting and staffing issues.
Basic knowledge of specialized industry skills and understanding of the various construction craft requirements, certifications, and project specific HSE and Task requirements.
Evaluate Alaska hire requirements and apply to Alaska Residents before proceeding outside Alaska for client positions.
Performs other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma
5 years of recruiting experience required, with at least 2 years in the Construction/Oil & Gas industry
Attention to detail
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with management, clients, and candidates
Personnel or Human Resource experience is helpful
Clean driving record
Computer Literate, experience with Office 365 is preferred
