The job of the recruiter is to manage, grow, evolve and strengthen the entire company by always recruiting and searching for new talent to add to the team.
This process will take place through a variety of different methods, including but not limited to: utilizing traditional recruiting methods such as job listing sites, networking with local trade schools, trade associations, and equipment and materials distributors, and social media recruiting.
Because the recruiter will be in contact with all potential candidates as well as networking with schools and vendors we work closely with, it is vital that he or she has a passion for providing the best and most consistent experience possible for all external and internal customers.
In order to effectively recruit new talent to the BEST team, it is important that the recruiter not only fits into the core values and culture of the organization, but is also able to assess whether or not candidates fit these criteria as well.
The recruiter will be responsible for both proactive and reactive recruitment for all positions within the company, meeting deadlines for hiring and onboarding new hires, and working closely with department heads to identify recruiting needs and to identify and improve criteria which potential candidates are judged
Responsibilities
The job requirements of the recruiter include:
Arriving on-time, appropriately dressed and ready to work
Knowing and embracing the core values, mission statement, and vision statement of the company
Following a daily task list designed to ensure all aspects of the recruiting process are progressing on a daily basis
Reviewing all resumes the company receives to identify potential candidates
Sending conversation requests through different recruiting channels
Hosting interviews of potential candidates jointly with department heads
Completing a variety of HR duties including onboarding, offboarding, and other miscellaneous tasks
Visiting suppliers and distributors on a regular basis to network and recruit
Visiting local trade schools on a regular basis to network and recruit
Posting recruiting-related content to company’s social media at scheduled intervals
Compensation
The recruiter position is primarily a salaried position and the salary will vary based on experience level and capabilities of the recruiter.
Starting salary will range from $42,000 to $55,000 based on ability and experience.
