POSITION SUMMARY: The Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF), a non-profit organization is the nation’s leading health policy organization dedicated to filling the need for trusted information on national health issues .
KFF serves as a non-partisan source of facts, information, and analysis for policymakers, the media, the health care community, and the public.
KFF is seeking a Policy Analyst for the Program on Medicaid and the Uninsured, which provides information and analysis on health care coverage and access for the low-income population with a special focus on Medicaid’s role and coverage of the uninsured.
The Policy Analyst will help develop and carry out quantitative and qualitative analysis related to Medicaid policy, health reform, and coverage for the low-income population, with a focus on eligibility and enrollment policy.
This full-time position will be based in KFF’s Washington, D.C.
office, which is located downtown near Metro Center.
Job Requirements:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
· Conduct policy analysis, including review and synthesis of policy documents, proposals, regulations, or other secondary sources of information.
· Synthesize data to perform quantitative analysis.
· Write and prepare fact sheets, policy briefs, presentations and other documents and prepare figures, tables, charts and other data visualizations to effectively communicate key findings.
· K eep abreast of new policy developments affecting Medicaid policy.
· Respond to external inquiries from the media, policymakers, stakeholders, and others in the policy community; present KFF’s work at meetings; and engage with the external community on social media.
Minimum Desired Experience and Skills:
· Master’s degree i n public health, public policy preferred.
· Minimum of 2 years related field or work experience in policy analysis or policy research.
