Job Description The purpose of the class is to perform routine-to-complex technical accounting work in the processing of payroll for the County, and to perform a variety of other clerical and bookkeeping tasks, applying accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of accounting records.
The class works within a general outline of work to be performed, and develops work methods and sequences under general supervision.
Requires high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by formal training, special courses or self-education that is equivalent to satisfactory completion of one year of college education or specialized advanced training in accounting or a closely related field.
Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
Requires five years of experience.
