PAYROLL PROCESSING COORDINATOR – MARLBOROUGH, MA
SUMMARY:
Receive and respond to inbound and outbound associate calls and correspondence, emails and Service Desk tickets.
Respond to questions, resolve standard complaints, and ensure effective communication and high quality customer service at all levels.
Ensure the timely and accurate entry of confidential weekly payroll information to ensure completeness for all store, home office, and distribution center associates for all domestic divisions.
Ensure critical deadlines are met and transactions are appropriate based on the day of the week.
MAJOR AREA Of RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Respond accurately, promptly and effectively to all forms of associate and former associate communication, including phone calls, emails, and service desk tickets.
* Resolve difficult and sensitive issues in an objective and timely manner, using problem solving and negotiation skills
* Multitask in a fast paced environment while receiving a high volume of inbound/outbound calls but still providing excellent customer service
* Assist with the processing of adjustments to weekly payroll for stores, home office and distribution center associates.
Review to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Support stores, DC’s, and 300+ home office payroll administrators with questions and concerns with associate pay.
* Assist with adjusting associate data for paid time off, shift differential hours, union payments, bonus, credit union contributions, etc.
* Assist with the processing of inbound files for 401k, shift differentials, new stores, benefits and DC incentive pay.
* Create and maintain spreadsheets
* Special projects/duties as assigned
DESIRED SKILL SET:
* Ability to provide quality customer service to a variety of contacts, via verbal and written communication
* Good decision-making skills (i.e.
ability to decide based on a mixture of analysis, experience, and judgment); ability to escalate issues in a timely manner
* Good attention to detail (i.e.
inquiring, reviewing, auditing, and entering data on a PC)
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Solid organizational and follow through skills
* Ability to work well in a high volume production environment as part of a team
* Ability to Multitask and time management skills
* Excel experience needed
* ADP experience a plus
EDUCATION / YRS of EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in customer relations/support in a call center or retail brick and mortar or .com business
