Accountemps is collaborating with an expanding company in the Non-Profit industry to fill the position of a Payroll Clerk to support the daily functions of the Payroll department. The opportunity will be located in the Fort Wayne, Indiana region. This challenging position is a great opportunity for a self-starter looking to work with an industry leader and expand their career. The company is a dynamic, fast-growing team, looking for someone who can communicate effectively with both the internal team and outside customers. The Payroll Clerk’s duties will include data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is a short-term temporary-to-full-time employment role.
Your responsibilities
– Correspond with employees via email and phone to garner approvals on timesheets
– Be the main point of instruction/training contact to employees regarding payroll-related best practices
– Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
– Build and run custom reports
– Arrange data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
– Administer and distribute reports as instructed
– Carry out clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc
Job Requirements:
– Previous payroll experience
– Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
– Sound written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to easily learn new systems
– Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
– Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
– Non-profit fund accounting experience
– Knowledge of Reimbursements
– Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
– Solid understanding of payroll
– Prior knowledge in Payroll software
