BBL Construction Services, a well established organization in Albany, NY has an immediate opening for a Payroll Associate.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly and bi-weekly multi-company, multi-state payroll in accordance of all applicable Federal and State laws and Collective Bargaining Agreements
- Responsible for timely and accurate entries of all employees changes (new hires, terminations, deductions, etc.)
- Prepare tax deposits and reporting to various tax agencies
- Prepare weekly & monthly certified payroll
- Prepare weekly reports and filings accordingly
- Reconcile payroll accounts to the general ledger; resolve discrepancies
- Assist in year-end payroll processing (401(k) testing
- Develop and implement best practices, policies & procedures
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Sage 300 – Timberline (preferred)
- Bachelors in accounting or finance or equivalent payroll experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Leadership and teamwork skills
- Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel and the MS office suite
