Payroll Administrator

Job summary :

This position serves as front-line support for Kronos Time & Attendance inquiries, responsible for delivering consistent experiences and guidance to the GT US workforce. Leverages basic knowledge of Kronos time & attendance and Payroll to triage and assist with accurate, prompt responses for simple to moderate inquiries.

Key Accountabilities:

  • SME on pay rules and accrual policies and how Kronos is tracking the information
  • Functional SME on the scheduler and advanced scheduler modules within Kronos
  • Familiarity with work rules and attendance policies
  • Performs reviews and audits of timecards on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure timecards are approved prior to payroll signoff.
  • Performs historical edits for office employees and LOA adjustments
  • Generate reports and establish communications with accountable leaders for actions.
  • Manage Payroll Service Center Inquiries via Ivanti tool.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for questions, providing guidance and direction to employees
  • Resolve simple to moderate inquiries using documentation, policies, practices while driving self-service and user adoption
  • Work with both internal and external contacts to assist in process completion or escalation; Articulate requirements for configuration changes to IT
  • Identify and support methods to update, simplify, enhance, and communicate processes, procedures, and technologies, working closely with cross-functional partners and change management team
  • Support knowledge-base growth by recommending updates to articles and training opportunities on trends
  • Building relationships with US Payroll team, HR, Operational Leads, HRBPs, and other departments to facilitate the support for processes that the team supports.
  • May support reporting, monitor dashboards/tasks, testing, or special projects as needed
  • Develops training documentation as required
  • Provides training to users as required, maintains training standardization

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge of Kronos time & attendance systems, including integrations of HR data between multiple systems (HR, Payroll, 3rd Party Vendors, etc.)
  • Basic Understanding of Workday Payroll
  • Good communication skills; both written and verbal

  • Excellent time management, organization, and planning skills
  • Accuracy / high attention to detail

  • User knowledge of MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
