We are currently seeking a skilled human resources specialist. Under the supervision and in conjunction with the Chief Administrative Officer, the senior human resources specialist provides a wide variety of both complex and routine services. Our ideal candidate will be passionate and willing to contribute to making our association an employer of choice. The successful candidate will have a solid knowledge of various HR functions and administrative skills. PRIMARY DUTIES: Ability to help review and support all HR initiatives Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures Leadership and instructional aptitudes to provide training Cultivate training and development programs Monitors performance evaluation program Assists with recruitment effort and oversees onboarding process Monitors career-paths for development opportunities Assists with employee relations documentation Benchmarks positions against market to ensure competitive compensation Assists with compliance and applicable employment and labor regulations Assists with producing relevant metrics and reports, including affirmative action, turnover, exit interview, etc. Performs other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree Exceptional customer service skills Excellent organizational skills Solid HR background and understanding of recruitment, performance evaluations and labor relations Knowledge of federal and local labor laws Experience investigating matters and making recommendations based on findings Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels and backgrounds Proficient with HRIS and Microsoft Office SuiteWorking at NACoEmployees of NACo enjoy a fun and challenging environment with a wide range of competitive benefits.
