IT Security Policy/Best Practice Analyst

is looking for an experienced, qualified  IT Security Policy/Best Practice Analyst  to join our team!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

Individuals will support The Administrative Office of the United States Courts (AOUSC), Department of Technology (DTS), and Information Technology Security Office (ITSO) in strategic communications support services to ITSO and the judiciary. 

This work includes facilitating ITSO reporting; developing presentations, newsletter articles, and other publications on security-related topics; editing best practice and risk analysis documentation; responding to queries addressed to the ITSO mailbox from court units and national program offices; developing graphics for presentations, web deliverables, and other marketing content; developing and maintaining the ITSO SharePoint Online presence; and establishing and maintaining guidelines and templates for consistent and appropriate communication methods and deliverables. Other duties include:

• Utilize data from policy and direction from the COR. 
• Provide draft responses to simple repetitive inquiries or inquiries that require minimal research. 
• Work with the COR to prepare security documentation for the Judiciary 30-day exposure draft review process, gathering/aggregating all feedback from defined stakeholders, and ensuring all comments to the review process receive responses in a timely and professional manner. 
• Facilitate updates to security-related elements of the AO Manual on behalf of ITSO in a commensurate manner.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5 years of experience in IT Security governance
• 5 years of Federal regulations experience with NIST 800-53
• Security+, or equivalent certification
• 5 years IT technical writing
• 5 years and an editor of technical writing products
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• An active security clearance is preferred
