We are seeking a Membership Managerwho can embrace this vision as a personal passion and be motivated by it, bringing their best to work every day.

The External Relations Officer will play an essential role by identifying and cultivating mid-level gift donors.

This team member will independently manage a portfolio of current and prospective donors, make requests for gifts and be responsible for providing a top-notch giving experience.

The Membership Manager will:Steward the new-donor process and donor-club groups to ensure timely and meaningful participation among Institute supporters.Create a contact and solicitation plan for assigned mid-level donors that is driven by each donor’s passions.Identify and build relationships with individuals who may be interested in the Institute’s planned giving effort.Represent the Illinois Policy Institute at eventsTravel, as warranted, to participate in meetings Culture and compatibility:Success at the Illinois Policy Institute requires more than professional ambition or a particular skill set.

The ideal candidate will have:At least 1-3 years of experience in fundraising or equivalent market experience.Entrepreneurial spiritExcellent communication and relationship building skillsHigh degree of self-accountabilityStrong appreciation for free market principlesPositive attitude and an earnest interest in providing good customer serviceAbility and willingness to travel, if needed.

SalaryCommensurate with experience.

Compensation package includes health (company-paid medical), vacation and sick days.

Flexible work environment and schedule.

LocationThe External Relations Officer will reside in Illinois and may work from Illinois Policy’s Chicago office.
