Overview of the Human Resources Specialist role:
- Posting job ads and attending job fairs
- Screening and interviewing candidates
- Managing the onboarding and training of new hires
- Completion of in-house background investigations, for new hires and positions that require a background check every 5 years
- Process time cards for payroll
- Calculate wage garnishments, bonuses and retroactive pay as needed
- Other Human Resources projects as assigned
Preferred Qualifications for the Human Resources Specialist Role:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
