Position Summary:
The Human Resources Manager will serve as a key business partner to our Renewable Energy business unit.
The ideal professional is comfortable with ambiguity, navigating fast-paced work, and is ready to bring their creative energy and HR expertise to help build infrastructure, support a scaling business, and provide critical day to day support to employees and leaders.
Responsibilities:
Plans and leads core HR processes and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy in the functional areas of onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, culture, development, and compensation.Helps to bridge management and employee relations by serving in a consultative role providing coaching, guidance, and sound judgement in addressing business or employee challenges and needs.Key contact for employees and managers related to people and HR process, programs, and procedures.Supports current and future business needs through the regular promotion of development, engagement, motivation, and retention of people.Champions and protects organizational culture, actively seeking ways to promote and support this culture within programs, processes, and people connections.Expertly leads employee relations investigations of both our craft and staff workforce, leveraging support of regional Legal partners, HR peer group, the HR Director, and other resources as needed/required.Provides thorough and reliable guidance and support in performance management and disciplinary processes.On a routine basis, regularly discerns and communicates critical information to partners nationally.Leverages corporate HR partners as an integral resource in creatively anticipating and meeting the needs of the business unit.Partners with Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development team members to create and implement best practices to achieve business results.Provides recommendations to HR Director and L&D Manager in support of ongoing learning opportunities or requirements across the business unit.Develop and report out on relevant business unit HR metrics and people trends, utilizing data to support ideas and solutions.
Closely works with HR Specialist to analyze data for areas of focus for business unit HR and management teams.Ensure legal and regulatory compliance is met throughout HR activities.Regularly connects with managers to deepen HR partnership, understand team culture, and assist with team development and effectiveness.Provides support and recommendations related to promotions and compensation utilizing Total Reward partners as appropriate.Contribute to organization-wide HR projects and initiatives, leading/implementing these at the regional and/or business unit level.Work alongside HR Director to research, develop, create, and implement HR strategies and practices catering to a unique and growing business unit.Develop or refine, educate, and lead project leaders through essential people practices as an integrated component of the project lifecycle.Support the HR Director as needed with research, projects, and other relevant initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 5 years of exempt level HR experience.Demonstrated ability to build rapport, develop relationships and establish credibility and trust.Ability to navigate sensitive situations and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.Superior attention to detail, prioritization, and organizational skills, with ability to multi-task.Experience successfully navigating a complex environment utilizing strong communication skills.Must be able to manage and implement region and/or business unit wide programs, processes, and initiatives, ensuring proper communication and effective change management, independently and successfully.Excellent active listening, consultative, negotiation and presentation skills.Demonstrates a healthy balance of people orientation, drive for results, and analytical skills.Construction or related industry experience is helpful though not required.Must be willing to travel.
