The Corporate Office and Enterprise Services organization of Northrop Grumman has an exciting opportunity for a H uman Resources Manager 3 to join our Human Resources (HR) team in Falls Church, Virginia.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to play a pivot role collaborating with Corporate Office functional teams along with organizations within Enterprise Services.
Additionally, the manager will provide direct/indirect leadership to a team of geographically dispersed HR professionals.
The selected candidate will possess depth and breadth of knowledge across HR functions to include talent acquisition, talent management, succession planning, organizational effectiveness, compensation, and employee relations.
Strong project management experience is essential; demonstrated skills in planning, organizing, and coordinating with cross-functional relationships required.
Responsibilities:
Establish strong business relationships with client leadership teams and create effective partnerships across HR and centers of excellence (COE’s)
Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the organization and develop solutions in partnership with HR business partners, leadership and COEs
Using data and analytics, develop solutions to current business issues and proactively engage in risk mitigation
Recommend and implement winning practices employed in the areas of talent acquisition, assessment, development, compensation, organizational effectiveness, strategy, on-boarding, change management and communications
Analyze and concisely present information to the management team to enable good business decisions
Leverage and partner with HR colleagues in talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee relations, diversity, equity, and inclusion and organizational effectiveness to support talent strategies
Provide business insight through data analysis, research and benchmarking
Provide day-to-day people leadership of team and create an environment that accelerates development of HR talent
Role model for leadership behaviors; company values; and diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I)
Leadership Development—focused on strong succession planning and strategic leadership movement.
Partner with enterprise-wide functional leaders to build leadership depth to support the succession planning process.
Support and enable leaders to make informed decisions about talent and to hold their organizations accountable for results
This position has significant senior leadership contact and requires a candidate with strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to perform in a fast-paced, ambiguous and continually changing environment
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Must have one of the following:
Bachelor’s degree in HR or related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience
Master’s degree in HR or related discipline with a minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience
Solid track record in overall HR management and as trusted advisor and people leader
Superb communication skills and the ability to establish strong rapport and credibility as a forward-looking thought leader
Proven ability to influence for impact at all levels and develop an internal network to gain support for best HR practices
Ability to navigate cultural and business sensitivities to champion diversity, equity, inclusion, performance, and employee engagement
Must be able to work on-site in Falls Church, Virginia
Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Business, Human Resource Management, Organization Development, Industrial Psychology, Management, or related field
Three+ years of people management experience
Superb communications skills and the ability to establish strong rapport and credibility as a forward-looking thought leader
Experience with Workday Human Resources Information System
Salary Range: 141300
– 211900
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
