We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist in our Danbury, CT office who can grow with us.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage the recruiting and on-boarding process.
Conduct HR prescreen phone calls and full HR interviews.
Introduces qualified candidates to hiring managers for next step interviews.
Facilitates job offers, background checks and collection of all required new hire documentation.
Advise leadership on company policies, procedures, personnel issues, and changes in state and federal laws ensuring company compliance.
Handle employee relation issues, investigating employee complaints, resolving employee conflicts, and advising appropriate action to leadership.
Resolving issues in a timely manner.
Manage all benefit programs.
Assist employees with benefit questions, concerns, and issues.
Assist leadership in performance management process.
Maintain communication with departments on all human resources related issues.
Communicates difficult and sensitive information tactfully.
Maintain HRIS compliant personnel files and HR records.
Manage delivery and execution of HR related programs.
Proactively make value added recommendations to improve HR operation.
Participate in various HR projects as needed.
Knowledge and Skills:
Minimum 3+ years of Human Resources experience with increasing responsibility.
Knowledge of principles and practices of State, Federal laws, and regulations.
Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
Resourceful, problem solving skills with thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Pleasant demeanor focused on customer service.
High level of accuracy and confidentiality.
Ability to organize and prioritize work, consistently meeting deadlines.
HRIS administration required.
Must be proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
