Human Resources Generalist
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide guidance, assistance and support to the Human Resources Director, senior management and supervisors with all personnel matters.
Manage the Human Resources Information Systems, administer employee benefits / leaves of absences and collaborate on development and refinement of HR policies Responsible for federal and state law compliance and regulatory reporting on laws pertaining to the Human Resource Department.
Act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics while ensuring all employee records are up-to-date and confidential.
Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (1/2 hour unpaid lunch)
FLEXIBILITY IS REQUIRED TO ACCOMODATE DEPARTMENT NEEDS.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree/Certificate in human resources, business administration, or related field or two to four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience particularly with HRIS systems, employee benefit plans, leaves of absences and state and federal laws pertaining to human resources required
Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Prior experience with an HRIS and LMS system preferred.
Excellent written communication skills, oral communication skills, planning/organizing skills required.
Have and maintain a valid driver’s license, registration, insurance and inspection with an acceptable driving record and a reliable vehicle.
Not have any disqualifying crimes in a current BCI and/or NCIC criminal background check
The physical demands are essential functions of the job to safely and effectively perform duties.
The work in this class is primarily sedentary in nature.
Work may include extended periods of time viewing a computer video monitor and operating a keyboard.
Physical requirements include sitting for extended periods of time, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting books and files and/or move up to 25 pounds.
