As a life care community, Freedom Square makes aging in place simple. Residents are able to seamlessly transition from independent living to assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing care, as their healthcare needs change.

As a Human Resources Generalist at Freedom Square of Seminole, your daily duties will vary from payroll, benefits, recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement and retention and more! If you are a well versed Human Resources professional with long term care or nursing home experience, we want to speak to you!

DUTIES:

  • Post job ads, source and interview candidates
  • Conduct level 2 AHCA background checks
  • Monitor and track new hires, in process, to ensure they pass bars of employment
  • Attend job fairs
  • Benefits administration
  • FMLA, Worker’s Compensation claims
  • Time card entry/management
  • Report on all new hires, status changes, leaves of absence, classification and wage changes for community staff.
  • Maintain employee files according to company guidelines and state requirements.
  • Attend training and education sessions, as assigned.
  • Cross train with other HR Generalists to ensure adequate coverage at all times in the Human Resources office.
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates or Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field preferred, not required.
  • A minimum of one year experience in a human resources role required.
  • Knowledge of state and federal labor regulations, personnel administration, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, recruiting and selection, and training and development.
  • Previous long term care or nursing home Human Resources experience, preferred
  • Experience with Kronos and HRIS/HRIM database such as Oracle, Cloud systems preferred.
