Follow us on Twitter at @BWXTech and learn more at www.bwxt.com .**BWXT is currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist for its Erwin, TN location!** Job Duties/Responsibilities:+ Provide day to day HR support to the workforce through employee engagement on the shop floor, responding to questions/inquiries in a timely manner and working to resolve concerns as soon as identified.+ Responsible for Union benefits administration and benefits-related issue resolution and presentation of new hire orientation. + Advise employees and managers on interpretation of policies, guidelines, procedures, laws, and other government regulations.+ Consult with management on a day-to-day basis in the areas of employee relations to identify and resolve performance and work environment issues.+ Complete employee relations investigations with a focus on the facts of the situation, legal and policy compliance, and prompt resolution.+ Guides and supports employees through FMLA and Short Term Disability related leaves and coordinates required return to work protocols. + Assist with employee events, including but not limited to, benefits enrollment; policy training; organization-wide meetings; talent development initiatives; diversity & inclusion programming; career fairs and employee recognition events.+ Ensure regulatory compliance through routine checks of required legal and ethics postings. + Responsible for the maintenance, integrity and confidentiality of new hire files and records.Job Qualifications/Requirements:+ A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business, or a closely related field is required.+ Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of related experience in human resources including experience in the areas of staffing; benefits; compensation; payroll; employee relations and employment law compliance. + Prior experience with benefits administration and talent development is highly preferred.+ Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service while ensuring legal and policy compliance. + Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to effectively balance multiple competing priorities.+ Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and to work collaboratively with cross functional teams. + Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite’s Outlook, PPT and Word. With an advanced proficiency level in Excel to produce required business reporting. + This position supports a safety and quality driven, 24-7 manufacturing operation and requires the ability and availability to work the occasional adjusted schedule. Variations to normal work hours may include but are not limited to support of early morning meetings, engagement with the shop floor during 2nd shift evening operations, scheduled plant initiatives, unplanned after-hours investigations and pre-planned weekend employee events. + Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship. + Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.U.S. Citizenship, with no dual citizenship is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter.
