This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Applicant must be eligible to work in the US for immediate opening.  For this opportunity, the successful candidate will be directly employed by Bartech Staffing as a W2 employee while providing services to our end client.

Human Resources Generalist        

Job Responsibilities                                              

Your specific duties as a Human Resources Generalist will include: 

• Compensation (Range):  / hour: $20.00 – 22.00 hr
• The position is a member of Chicago Stamping Plant and reports to the Human Resources Supervisor.
• Maintain positive Union/Management relations
• Coordinate hourly recruiting and hiring as required.
• Support all Health and Safety activities as required.
• Assist with the administration of the Master and Local Collective Bargaining Agreements.
• Support Personnel Relations activities as required. Coordinate hourly placement as required.
• Responsible for all aspects of hourly employee administration including medical, wage administration, and job security programs.
• System administrator for facility access.
• Joint Programs administration.

Job Requirements

As a Human Resources Generalist you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Ability to guide and influence all levels
• Prior Human Resources experience required.
• Experience working with in a union environment .
• Labor Relations experience
• Demonstrated experience with delivering HR process improvement actions.
• Education Required: Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree is preferred.
