This position will partner with each DC Manager to address general HR needs, increase engagement, and to develop and retain talent.
The Human Resources Generalist will : Review and analyze team member engagement scores and, in collaboration with DC Manager, develop & execute plans to increase engagement scores.
Assist team members with employment related questions including benefits, policies, and leave of absence processes.
Provide and encourage additional and/or alternative open communication link between team members and management.
Assist leaders in performance management providing guidance for coaching and counseling documents and calibration for performance reviews.
Review and jointly own (with DC leadership) monthly turnover data to identify any trends.
Conduct exit interviews and recommend solutions to reduce turnover.
Assist in the recruitment process by working closely with Recruiting team and DC leadership.
Jointly own recruitment effectiveness by identifying recruitment needs, local recruitment opportunities and representing Imperial in each assigned market to increase brand recognition.
Conduct initial on-site interviews and new employee orientations.
Collaborate with DC Leadership and Grainger to manage safety training program at each location and ensure new hire training plans are completed.
Report workers’ compensation claims and work with team members and 3rd party vendors for return to work and any reasonable accommodations.
Requirements Associates degree or equivalent experience and 2-3 years recruiting, employee relations, benefits or other Human Resources experience Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail Ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain confidential information 30-40% travel Imperial Supplies, a Grainger Company, is a national distributor of quality maintenance products serving the fleet industry since 1958.
