Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist for our distribution center located in St. Rose.

Essential Job Functions:

Recruitment and Staffing: create requisitions, identify new avenues for recruiting, participate in local job fairs, screen candidates, schedule interviews and partner with leadership to identify staffing levels and skills base.

Conduct new hire orientation, manage the onboarding process, and process new hire paperwork and security activation.

Provide support to all employees, respond timely to inquiries, handle and investigate grievances and maintain related documentation.

Coordinate with DC leadership on disciplinary actions, draft and issue warnings, and process terminations.

Assist with the development and execution of employee training and company events.

Safety: participate in the safety meetings, investigate incidents and injuries, process first report of injury and worker’s compensation claims.

Perform tasks necessary for ordering employee uniforms and supplies, track and collect orders, reconcile invoices with outside vendors.

Evaluate and report on KPIs.

Conduct data entry, maintain HRIS system and employee files.

Other duties as assigned.

Education/License Requirements:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

General Experience Requirements:
Preferred: 2 years of experience in the field of Human Resources

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities (e.g. software proficiency, language, project management):
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

Strong communication, both written and verbal

Excellent interpersonal skills

Detail oriented, customer service minded

Core Behavioral Attributes (e.g. Interpersonal and communication skills):
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment
Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
Capable of taking direction and receiving constructive criticism from internal reviews
