Position Overview
The HR Business Partner, Jr.
position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and upper HR leadership in designated business units.
Though an entry level role, this position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to upper HR leaders and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Launch on-boarding tasks for new hires and process I9/ E verify, and background checks.
Manage employee reimbursements and submit to payroll for processing.
Assist in Team Member employment verification, unemployment claims and worker compensation document processing.
Plan and meet with employee engagement committee to schedule and plan engagement events.
Maintain company swag program for team member recognition.
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.
Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
Assists, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process on an as needed basis.
Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
Assists with job postings and advertisement processes; internally and externally.
Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials for the leadership team.
Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process to ensure that all pertinent information has been relayed.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
Attends and participates in job fairs and recruiting sessions.
Assists team members with questions regarding pay, benefits etc.
Use HRIS to keep track of employee moves, termination, pay, and anything else related to the employee life cycle.
Provides administrative support to upper HR leaders as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Ability to work on multiple projects.
Standard work schedule with flexibility required based on business needs.
Education and Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience recruiting, staffing, and retaining employees.
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
Prior experience working with UKG preferred
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
