Full Time; Mon-Fri; 8:00am-5:00pm

$16.00-$18.00/hr DOE

Human Resources Assistant Overview:

Express Employment is assisting a local Tri City organization whose searching for a self-motivated and experienced HR Assistant to support their busy HR department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support for the department, assisting with the hiring process, scheduling new employee orientations, and training and entering of a high volume of employment records into our HR database. If you are a professional with a strong sense of discretion and a background in data entry, we want to hear from you.

Human Resources Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Assist with administering compensation and benefit plans
  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Conduct employee onboarding and help plan training & development
  • Provide support to employees in various HR related topics such as leaves, compensation etc. and resolve issues and problems
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Undertake tasks in performance management
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form

Human Resources Assistant Requirements:

  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (e.g. PeopleSoft) will be a plus
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach
  • Three or more years of experience in an applicable setting
  • Applicants must be comfortable with data entry and administrative duties

Human Resources Assistant Education/Required Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED is required – higher education is ideal
  • Additional HR training/education will be a plus
  • Proven experience working in HR or related field
