About this job

Under the general guidance of the Manager of Talent Acquisition, this role provides administrative support to a team of recruiters who perform full-cycle recruitment of exempt and non-exempt talent for the organization.

What you will do

  • Coordinate interview schedules for job applicants visiting CarMax
  • Perform data entry into Applicant Tracking System and/or other recruiting-related systems and databases
  • Complete and maintain monthly reporting and other ad hoc reports
  • Assist recruiters in coordinating team participation in external job fairs and internal recruiting events
  • Respond to general inquiries from candidates and third-party vendors via phone and email

Purpose of the role

This role is key in ensuring a simple and seamless experience for internal and external CarMax candidates throughout the scheduling and interview process. A candidate for this role will be highly organized and self-driven to ensure successful execution of recruitment processes. Additionally, this candidate will have a strong ability to build relationships with candidates and business leaders across the organization.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • One or more years of experience providing administrative support in a multi-user office environment preferably in Human Resources and/or Talent Acquisition
  • High school diploma, some college or college degree preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), internet search engines and email systems
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a deadline-oriented environment which requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to convey a professional and positive image to associates, job applicants and vendors
