The Role

With significant growth on the horizon, Essentia is looking for a hands-on Head of Recruitment with the passion, creativity and energy to ensure we attract and secure the very best talent in the market.

In the next twelve months we are looking at doubling in size to over 50 employees, as well as growing our contractor team.

You will be responsible for implementing and driving the best recruitment practice across the business, partnering with our C-suite and developing our in-house interviewers.

Diversity and fair practice will be at the heart of what you do.

The focus of this role will be employer branding, recruitment practices and interviewing but it will also span learning and development and HR management so a CIPD qualification and interest in broader HR is essential.

This is a stand-alone role however you will have the support of two of our Operations team to assist you in some HR tasks/admin.

Requirements

The person we’re looking for will have 

Previous in house recruitment experience, building a new team within a software company at the “scale-up” stage.

Experience implementing and optimising BambooHR and Workable (or similar platforms).

Designed and executed employer branding including careers site and social media content and policies.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills evident in job descriptions, social media content and candidate and hiring management conversations.

Partnering and upwardly managing at senior management level.

Knowledge and experience of HR practices
– CIPD level 5 qualification is preferred. 

Interpersonal sensitivity and ability to influence people.

Focus on continuous improvement and data to provide evidence for decision making.

Proven experience of managing 10-20 roles at any given time. 

Prior experience of any of the following would be helpful:

A strong understanding of the finance and investment industry.

Working for a transatlantic firm with UK and US offices.

Recruitment for a Python-based tech firm.
