– we’re just getting started.**Summary:** Facebook is seeking a Global Mobility (GloMo) Tax Consultant for Mobility Payroll Program Operations with an emphasis on in-house mobility tax programs, along with experience in global tax & social security payroll compliance, expatriate income taxation and tax equalization program administration.
Partners cross functionally to support the execution of our tax programs for mobile employees.
Primary areas of focus will include, but are not limited to, operations of payroll tax compliance related to relocation benefits and compensation reporting related to mobile employees, in addition to regional support for NORAM for all aspects of our Global Mobility Tax programs.**Required Skills:** 1.
Manage the day-to-day interactions with employees, vendors and internal stakeholders primarily in NORAM to ensure a smooth experience for all stakeholders, while adhering to company policies and statutory requirements.2.
Respond to queries from employees related to benefits in kind included in compensation, our tax programs for international & domestic transferees, international assignees and international & domestic business travelers.3.
Partner with equity programs, corporate tax, employment tax, payroll and employment law to manage the cross-functional management of mobility tax.4.
Partner with the Global Mobility Tax Managers and the other Global Mobility Tax Consultants to deliver on the tax programs experience vision and ensure that the tax services vendor delivers on the employee experience.5.
Review and approve certain monthly shadow payroll reporting, periodic add to earnings, benefit in kinds reporting, and payroll tax files for processing globally.6.
Collaborate with People Services to grow shared services resources that assist employees and managers with tax, payroll and equity transaction questions7.
including providing training, process documentation and technical support for employee inquiry resolution.8.
Ability to translate complex tax technical matters into common language easily understandable by our employees and internal non-tax technical stakeholders.9.
Additional opportunities will be both self-identified and assigned by the Global Mobility Tax Manager, always in alignment with team and company goals.**Minimum Qualifications:** 10.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related fields.11.
6+ years of global mobility tax experience, with experience managing in-house mobility tax programs and/or consulting/accounting firms experience.12.
Demonstrated experience in mobility taxation, global compensation reporting, mobility payroll processes, including systems, vendors, in-house processes and related operations.13.
Experience with payroll systems and operations, including work with payroll reporting and compliance for relocation benefits, stipends and shadow payroll.14.
Experience owning highly confidential situations and data that requires 100% data privacy and security.15.
Customer service skills and proven experience performing in a fast-paced environment.16.
Self-starter with knowledge to work independently with minimal instruction on day-to-day tasks.17.
Experience working in a team environment to achieve goals.**Preferred Qualifications:** 18.
Experience developing methods to automate manual processes.19.
Experience working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, including the knowledge to flex to changing circumstances and priorities.20.
Advanced computer skills including MS Office applications, especially MS Excel.21.
