The Director of Human Resources will continue to promote a work environment in which all our coworkers feel welcome, included and appreciated.The Director of Human Resources will perform HR related functions and duties in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our Facility.

This role reports directly to the Administrator.DutiesPromote a culture of respect, teamwork and a positive work environment.

Manage recruiting, interviewing, hiring, perform pre-employment background and reference checks, orientation, onboarding, annual appraisals and performance improvement plansDevelop and maintain trust with coworkers by resolving concerns promptly maintaining confidentiality Participate in leadership meetings and collaborate with directors of all departmentsEnsure payroll is processed in a timely and accurate mannerProcess FMLA, Paid Family Leave and Worker’s CompensationManage employee recognition programs and lead interdepartmental events Update information in HRIS and ensure that required licenses are up to date and on file Uphold a high ethical standard of integrity, confidentiality and non-discriminationConduct fair investigations into allegations of policy violation Update HRIS system and files and ensure compliance with DC Health regulationsAnalytical and project management skills, with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion and act in the best interest of the facilitySupervise the Human Resources Department Interpret facility policy to team membersJob Requirements A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Human Resources ManagementBachelor’s Degree in related field of study (Human Resources, Business Administration, etc.)Effective verbal and written communication skills and great attention to detailProven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Demonstrated knowledge of various HR functions such as recruiting, employee relations and performance managementMaintain confidentiality Embrace diversity Listening skills and empathyExcellent customer service skillsCapability to influence, motivate and engage othersMaintain a professional appearance and promote a positive company imageExperience with dispute resolution Professionalism, strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative work stylePrevious experience in a healthcare environmentOur Director of Human Resources will enjoy a competitive salary and a warm and welcoming work environment.
