The Human Resources Manager is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior operations and HR leadership. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: absence management (ADA/FMLA), employee relations and investigations, training, employee engagement programs, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, workers compensation and safety, unemployment, and general employment law compliance. This position also manages a team of HR support personnel (HR Coordinator, HR Assistant) so management skills are needed. Essential Functions, other duties may be assigned:Facilitate the onboarding and exiting process for all employeesRespond to inquiries regarding organization’s policies, procedures, and benefitsAssist with managing employee leave of absence programs and ADA accommodation requestsInvestigate and resolve employee relations issuesManage unemployment and workers compensation claimsMaintain confidential employment data, health records, and electronic data utilizing HRIS databasePartner with Operations Team to build a high performance, people‐focused culture that drives business resultsManage HR team at local siteProtect interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and all applicable employment standards and legislation Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experienceDemonstrate knowledge of state and federal employment lawsBroad range HR generalist experienceExperience working in an environment with a high number of hourly employees (call center, manufacturing, health care, etc.) is strongly preferredAbility to assess and identify causes of workplace issue and mediate conflict or make recommendations for resolution of conflictsKnowledge of Payroll systems and Time & Attendance systems a plusProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet ExplorerAbility to maintain confidentiality requiredAbility to relate and communicate with all levels of employees through excellent listening and communication skills that engender trust and supportPHR, SPHR, or SHRM certification preferred Benefit package:Affordable medical, dental & vision coverage for full-time employees401(k) matchEmployee wireless rate planPaid time off (PTO)Flexible spending accounts (FSA)Employee rewards programGroup life and AD& D benefitsEducation reimbursementLong-term disability Physical Demands & Work Environment:The physical demands in the work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
