Job SummaryThe VP of Human Resources promotes and implements human resource values by planning and managing human resources programs; directing all of the people functions of Coast in accordance with the policies and practices of Coast, society and the laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations.

The VP of Human Resources is responsible the strategic human resource planning, recruitment, employee retention, employee relations; EEO, attendance and leave policies and ensuring all fully comply with federal and state laws and regulations.

Collect and analyze HR data, then make recommendations to management.

This individual will be knowledgeable of the collection industry.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the development of Coast’s plans and programs as a strategic partner but particularly from the perspective of the impact on people.Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s human resource function and performance.Translate the strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans.Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations.Develop staffing strategies and implementation plans and programs to identify talent within and outside Coast for positions of responsibility.

Identify appropriate and effective external sources for candidates for all levels within the company.Develop compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and reward for effective performance and to provide programs which utilize and employ and the company partnership for the short and long-range health and welfare protection of the employees.Develop human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific programs for the filling of the gaps.

Areas of activity will include talent management through proper succession planning programs for key contributor and management positions, training and development programs for preparing employees for more significant responsibilities and general business development programs to enhance employee knowledge and understanding for the business.Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action as those items impact the attraction, motivation, development and retention of the people resources of Coast.Continue improving the programs, policies, practices and processes associated with meeting the strategic and operation people issue of Coast.Manages human resources operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions; maintaining compensation; determining production,productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems;accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.Develops human resources operations financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.Accomplishes special project results by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities; communicating and coordinating requirements; expediting fulfillment; evaluating milestone accomplishments; evaluating optional courses of action; changing assumptions and direction.Ensures the maintenance of employee records and payroll reportsDevelops and enforces policies and procedures with Executive ManagementSecurityInformation and Physical Security is the responsibility of every employee.

In your position you are required to safeguard the computer systems by following proper username and password management which includes selecting challenging passwords and committing them to memory, they should not be written down or stored where others can freely have access.

This also includes securing your desk and workstation when you are not there.

This includes locking your session and putting sensitive paperwork away when not physically at your desk.

If you witness any security violation you should immediately report it to management.QualificationsEducationMaster’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college with major course works in human resources, business administration, marketing or related field preferred; or 10 to 15 years’ experience in Human Resources Management in a Director or above level.

citizenship and security clearance granting access to classified information.
